Family holiday to Cairns August 2006

We all went to Cairns (FNQ) for Stacey and Simon's wedding 12 August. It was a long 2 flights from Canberra and we all had fun in business class and M slept really well and was happy just playing with mum and dad. We spent 1 week at a resort next to the botanical gardens. It was a 1 bedroom place with kitchen and it was awesome. We caught up with a lot of old work mates and friends. Thanks to all those who were able to visit us.
Cairns certainly has changed in the past 7 years! The lagoon down at the esplande is fantastic. It is shaped like Queensland which is pretty daggy but awesome too. We had fun exploring the city by bus and walking along the boardwalk. We had daily walks through the botanical gardens. The weather was fantastic but not hot enough for swimming for us! M enjoyed playing in the sand but thought the water was too cold too....
