22 Months

M is progressing in leaps. She doesn't stop!
From the minute she is up she laughs, sings, talks and drags us everywhere for playtime. At the moment we love cubbies, teepee, carebears, puppy and teddy. She is parroting a lot of things and genuinely seems chuffed with herself when she says a new word... then says it about 100 times throughout the day. I have no doubt in my mind that she understands everything - and has done so for a long time. I feel confident to ask her to go and do something and she knows what to do. One of her fav tasks is to go get a cup of dog treats and take it to his bowl (she says over and over until we do it...."cup, bikkies, blue bowl, puppy" all whilst nodding). She gets a kick out picking up some rubbish and putting it in the bin, collecting as many stuffed toys in her arms as possible and move them from room to room, getting pushed really high on the swing (with constant calls of "up higher" if you slacken off) and some sweeping.

Recently we had 2 days of 38 degrees and we all had to cool off best we could. M decided to jump into her old baby bath that dad was using in the garden with all her clothes on and half the saw dust path went in also. She had a ball tipping the water from the bucket into the bath.

next afternoon when the temp rocketed up we moved the bath into the shade so that we wouldn't fry and the trees got some much needed water also.

This is the first time she has let me put her hair up... it was finally long enough to annoy her.

We recently went to visit the newest cousin and M was fascinated and when we asked her if she the baby she said yes. When the bub cried M was very concerned and we had to explain why the bub was crying and she calmed.

closeups are fun

we found a great park near by - big city park with lots of groovy things to play on.

Back at the farm M is friends with the chickens and likes to chase them about. It is so nice to see her so comfortable with the animals.

So cute

M looks like a big girl in her runners.... and she loves to run very fast. She also loves to play with the new puppy and when we go outside she insists we put him on the lead and walk him.

Granny found this old teepee in a a clean out the garage... it is a real hit too. G first assembled it in her bedroom then in the morning she wanted out in the kitchen (complete with carebears cushions and all the toys.
